Why You Can’t Fit It All
Into One Single Product
No single multi-benefit, anti-aging skin creme can contain sufficient active ingredients at clinically-tested levels of effectiveness, to produce the desired results. Here’s why: every moisturizer starts with 60-70% water. Then add film formers, preservatives, emulsifiers and other ingredients to form a base formula that takes up another 15-20%. Then you start the selection process for the specific ingredients to support the claims desired.
Only now can you begin to add the moisturizers and the key active ingredients–each ranging from 2-5%, based on the suppliers’ clinical tests for effectiveness. That doesn’t leave much room, as 100% is the maximum formula and so explains the limitations of a single product to justify multiple claims.
